What the stores take
Apple and Google take a commission on digital sales in your app. Know it before you set your prices.
The usual cut
The standard commission is 30%. Both stores have a reduced 15% rate for smaller developers, and many subscriptions qualify for lower rates too. Rules differ by country and keep changing, so check the current terms.
Physical goods are different
Physical goods and services used outside the app, like food delivery or rides, are paid outside the store's billing system and carry no store commission.
Price for it
Build the commission into your unit economics from day one, or it will quietly eat your margin.
