Appkasa LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Appkasa LLC is registered in Sharjah Media City (Shams), United Arab Emirates, trade licence no. 2114248. You can reach us about privacy at hello@appkasa.com.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit appkasa.com and when you send us a request or a job application. Apps we build for clients have their own privacy policies.
Data you give us
When you send a request we collect what you enter: your name, email address, company or app name, phone or WhatsApp number if you add one, a link to your app, a short description and your answers to our questions. If you apply for a job by email we receive your CV and the information in your message.
Data collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so the site can be delivered and protected against abuse. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and all fonts and files are served from our own domain.
Data stored on your device
The site saves a small list of the app guides you have opened in your browser's local storage, so the progress bar works next time. It never leaves your device and you can remove it by clearing your browser data for appkasa.com. Because we use no cookies that require consent, there is no cookie banner.
Why we use your data and our legal basis
We use your request to reply to you and to take steps before a possible agreement, such as a call or a proposal (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We also use it to assess whether we are a good fit, to follow up and to keep records of our business contacts, which is in our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)). Technical data is processed to run and secure the website (Article 6(1)(f)). Job applications are used to assess your application (Article 6(1)(b)).
How we sort requests
We sort requests by how well they match our services, based on the answers you give. This helps us prioritise replies. A person on our team reads every request, and the sorting has no legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Who we share data with
Requests are stored in Google Cloud Firestore and the site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, both provided by Google, which processes the data on our behalf. We use an email provider to reply to you and may share data with professional advisers when needed. Our team in the United Arab Emirates and Denmark can access requests. We do not sell or rent personal data.
International transfers
Your data may be processed outside the EU and the EEA, including in the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on an adequacy decision, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
How long we keep data
We keep requests for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If we start working together, we keep what is needed for the agreement and for legal and accounting obligations. Job applications are kept for up to 6 months after the role is filled, unless you agree to a longer period. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a copy in a portable format. You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests. Write to hello@appkasa.com and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example Datatilsynet in Denmark or the authority where you live.
Residents of the United States
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you can ask to know, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Security
Requests can only be read by our team. The public website can send a request but cannot read stored requests. No method of transfer or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data with access controls and up-to-date software.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
